Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among Indian women, accounting for 27–28 per cent of all female cancers, according to ICMR–NCDIR. Projections indicate a 170.5 per cent rise in new breast cancer cases and a 200.5 per cent increase in deaths by 2050.
