Dr Nikhil Tandon, Dean Academic at AIIMS Delhi, will now oversee the director’s duties. This arrangement follows Dr M Srinivas’s move to NITI Aayog. Dr Tandon, a senior endocrinologist, takes on these responsibilities for six months or until a regular director is appointed. He will not receive extra pay for this role.
