Congo’s Ministry of Health reported 782 confirmed Ebola cases and 181 deaths, with the outbreak concentrated in Ituri province. The rare Bundibugyo virus is responsible, and contact tracing is hampered by displacement and ongoing conflict. Cases have also spread to Uganda.
