Under the revised provisions, permission can be granted to qualified allopathic and AYUSH doctors who own residential plots or have taken them on a minimum 10-year lease, for providing nursing home services involving indoor admission and treatment. Doctors must have valid registration, be currently practising, and be registered with the local branch of IMA. Where permission is granted on a leased plot, the approval will remain valid only for the duration of the lease.
